Overview :

APC AP7768 is a rear rail bracket kit designed for completing rack Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and power distribution installations in standard 19‑inch network and server racks. It is deployed by data center and network infrastructure engineers where ATS hardware requires stable vertical support and secure cable retention. The bracket kit addresses the need for proper mechanical mounting of power distribution equipment that does not come with full rack‑mount hardware.

The kit provides a set of rear‑mount rail brackets sized for standard rack install envelopes. The dimension profile supports a 19‑inch rack width with a nominal height of approximately 1.69 in (43 mm), depth of 0.94 in (24 mm), and overall width of approximately 20.43 in (519 mm). Packaged weight is about 1 kg.

This hardware sits in the IDF/edge rack or data center cabinet physical plane where ATS units normally reside, directly interfacing with rack uprights and providing the mounting footprint that ATS units require. It is not an electrical distribution device itself but a mechanical accessory essential for secure installation.
