Eaton B021-SWHD-K Tripp Lite 1U Short Depth HDMI KVM Console with 18 5 LCD

Overview

The Eaton B021-SWHD-K is a rack-mount console unit designed for server rooms and data-centre racks where space is premium and depth is constrained. It integrates a full-size keyboard, numeric keypad, touchpad and an 18.5-inch widescreen LCD screen (with native resolution 1920×1080 @ 60 Hz) into a 1U short-depth drawer format. This allows the console to mount directly in front of or above an HDMI KVM switch and share the same rack space, effectively saving precious units in dense racks.Designed for HDMI/USB connectivity (video via HDMI; keyboard/mouse via USB), the unit also includes a front-panel USB port for peripheral use (e.g., a flash drive or CAC card reader) and works across Windows, macOS, Linux and Sun environments. The short-depth form factor makes it suitable even in shallow-depth racks or wall-mounted cabinets where traditional full-depth consoles won't fit.In practical use, this console allows system administrators to access and control a server or KVM switch directly at the rack with one integrated drawer, instead of having separate monitor, keyboard and mouse. Because it's only 1U tall and designed for short-depth racks, it's highly suited for edge-sites, telecom closets or cabinets where rack depth is tight but local console access is still required.
