Overview

The Eaton SR48UBEXP is a 48-unit high (48 U) server rack enclosure designed for IT professionals who need a standard-depth cabinet (approximately 24″ width) but don’t require included side panels—often used for bayed rows where side-panels are shared or omitted for expansion. It ships fully assembled with casters and leveling feet so you can roll it into place, bolt it down, and start mounting gear quickly. The cabinet includes adjustable front and rear equipment-mounting rails, locking reversible front door and split rear door design for wall-adjacent placement, and a robust sheet-steel structure rated for a 3 000 lb (≈ 1 361 kg) stationary load and 2 250 lb (≈ 1 021 kg) rolling load.With a standard depth footprint (approx. 43″ external depth / 24″ width) it accommodates typical server, networking and power gear while preserving data-centre floor space and alignment. The “EXP” designation marks it for expansion-bay use—side-panels are excluded, which allows for multiple racks mounted side-by-side, reducing shared panel cost and simplifying cabling and airflow across bays.
