Overview :

The APC AR106V is a 6‑rack‑unit low‑profile wallmount enclosure designed for IT infrastructure deployments where floor space is constrained and traditional server racks are impractical. It’s deployed by network architects, systems engineers, and field IT technicians who need to secure and organize rack equipment such as switches, hyperconverged nodes, UPS systems, and edge appliances. Its vertical design solves space challenges while protecting equipment in enterprise and distributed IT environments.

This enclosure supports up to 6U of rack‑mount equipment with a maximum mounting depth of 30 in (762 mm) and a static/dynamic load capacity of 250 lb (113 kg). It integrates two fans with ~220 CFM airflow and a replaceable MERV 5/G3 dust filter to maintain airflow and particulate control in indoor and light‑industrial spaces. The input voltage range covers 100–120 V AC with a IEC 60320 C13 input connection.

Physically, the AR106V fits into compact environments such as retail backrooms, healthcare server closets, school tech rooms, and light industrial edge closets. Its 19‑inch rack width and shallow extension from the wall minimize footprint while allowing the installation of standard 19‑inch rack equipment that requires deeper cabinets.

Integration with broader infrastructure management is supported; the cabinet can be paired with APC Smart‑UPS units, NetBotz security and environmental sensors, and EcoStruxure IT monitoring platforms to centralize visibility and control of enclosed systems.

In a typical deployment, a branch office might mount the AR106V at eye‑level to house a 2U hyperconverged server, a 1U switch, and a compact UPS, with active cooling maintained through integrated fans and dust filtration. The detachable wall bracket simplifies vertical alignment and load transitions.

This enclosure is not suited for high‑density data centers where larger rack systems (e.g., 42U floor cabinets) are required, nor for heavy industrial environments with heavy particulate loads beyond light industrial dust without supplemental enclosures.
