Overview :

APC AR100HD is a 13U wall‑mount rack enclosure designed to secure 19‑inch rack equipment such as switches, small servers, patch panels, and network appliances where floor space is limited. It is deployed by network engineers and infrastructure technicians in wiring closets, retail IT rooms, small data closets, and edge networking environments. The wall‑mount form factor addresses equipment mounting where traditional floor cabinets are impractical or unavailable.

Mechanically, AR100HD is constructed from 16‑gauge steel with perforated vented doors and panels to support airflow through installed equipment. It accommodates 13 rack units (13U) of EIA‑310 compatible hardware and supports a static load up to ~90.7 kg (200 lb) when properly secured to the wall structure.

The rack includes adjustable front mounting rails with threaded mounting holes; the front rails can be positioned to match varied equipment mounting depths up to approximately 483 mm (19″). The dual‑hinged front door is fully vented and reversible, offering installation flexibility and 180° access during setup and maintenance without removing the door panel.

AR100HD is suitable for IDF/MDF closets, telecom racks, branch office cabinets, and network intermediate shelves where consolidated rack‑mount mounting is required. The enclosure ships fully assembled and includes keys, user manual, and wall‑mounting template to facilitate installation; rubber feet are provided for optional floor support when needed.

In a practical deployment, AR100HD mounts just above workstation height in a telecom closet to host patch panels, network switches, and a UPS, enabling neat, organized cable routing and ease of access during configuration and troubleshooting. Its reversible door swing helps avoid interference with nearby walls or cable trays.

This enclosure is not suitable for high‑density server deployments requiring extensive cooling, nor for environments requiring full dust or particle sealing; it is designed with vented panels that provide airflow but not environmental isolation. It also does not include internal power distribution — PDUs and cable management accessories must be added separately.
