Overview
The Eaton PV3000, from the Tripp Lite by Eaton PowerVerter product line, is a 3000W compact DC-to-AC power inverter designed for utility and long-haul trucks, RVs, and marine applications. It converts 12V DC battery power into 120V AC power and provides four NEMA 5-15R AC outlets.
The inverter delivers 3000W of continuous output and 6000W of instantaneous peak output. It uses PWM sine-wave output regulation, automatic overload shutdown, two 20A output circuit breakers, and six 40A automotive input fuses. A Battery Saver low-voltage shutdown helps prevent excessive battery discharge.
The PV3000 includes remote-control capability and is intended for permanent installation on a horizontal surface using its mounting slots. At full continuous load, the manufacturer specifies a 12V DC source capable of supplying 286A.
