Overview :

The APC AP8712S is a rack power cord kit comprising six locking IEC power jumpers tailored for structured rack power distribution. It is deployed by data center, network, and systems engineers to secure power interconnects between rack PDU outlets and IT equipment with IEC inputs. The locking feature mitigates accidental disconnects in high‑availability power paths.

Each cable in the kit uses IEC 60320 C19 to C20 connectors, supporting up to 16 A in North American and international rack power ecosystems and a compact 0.6 m (2 ft) length to fit within dense rack layouts without excess slack. This is critical where horizontal space and clear routing impact airflow and maintenance access.

AP8712S fits networks, server rooms, and data centers where locked cable retention reduces the likelihood of service disruptions during equipment servicing or vibration events. It pairs with standard 19″ rack power infrastructure and PDUs.
