The APC AP8704S‑NA is a rack power cord kit containing six locking IEC jumper cables used to connect rack‑mount power distribution units (PDUs) to IT equipment with IEC‑rated power inlets. It is selected by data center infrastructure engineers, network technicians, and rack installers where secured power retention reduces unplanned power loss due to cable pull‑outs or movement.

Each cord terminates in an IEC 60320 C14 male plug on the PDU side and an IEC 60320 C13 female connector on the equipment side, conforming to IEC power cabling standards for typical rack‑mount servers, switches, storage, and similar devices. The integrated locking mechanism engages only with compatible locking receptacles to anchor the cable under vibration or maintenance activity.

With a nominal length of 1.2 m (approximately 4 ft), the AP8704S‑NA cords offer reach beyond immediate adjacent connections while avoiding excessive slack that can impede airflow or complicate horizontal cable management in 19‑inch server racks and telecom IDF/MDF cabinets.
