Detailed Specifications
HPE JX989A - 12 V/30 W AC-to-DC Power Adapter
Overview
The HPE JX989A is a dedicated 12 V, 30 W AC-to-DC desktop style power adapter engineered for indoor deployment of selected Aruba access point models (specifically the AP-AC-12V30A and other compatible units). It solves the problem of providing a reliable region-agnostic external power supply when PoE or built-in power is not available or desired. This adapter is typically used in enterprise branch offices, retail stores or other indoor network installations where Aruba APs must be powered directly from AC mains. Its angled 90° barrel connector and universal input range make it suitable for many installation scenarios and existing infrastructure.
Key Features
Delivers 12 V output at up to 30 W, ensuring power headroom for AP units rated for that adapter.
Designed with a 90° angled circular plug (dimensions approx 1.7/4.0/9.5 mm) for space-constrained installations.
Universal AC input (100-240 V) allows global deployment with minimal region-specific variations.
End-of-sale announcement issued×transition to next generation adapter is recommended for new deployments.
