Overview

The Eaton U344-001-DP-4K is a Tripp Lite by Eaton USB 3.0 SuperSpeed to 4K DisplayPort external video graphics adapter designed to add an additional DisplayPort monitor, projector, or display through a computer's USB port. The adapter provides an external graphics output even when the computer's graphics hardware does not natively support 4K output.

The Tripp Lite U344-001-DP-4K uses a USB 3.0 Type-A connection and supports transfer rates up to 5 Gbps. It supports resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz, DisplayPort 1.2, video streaming up to 1080p, and 5.1-channel surround sound. Up to six U344-001-DP-4K adapters can be connected simultaneously, subject to system capabilities.

The adapter is bus-powered, so it does not require a separate AC power supply. A driver is required for operation. It is intended for office workstations, presentations, multi-monitor environments, digital signage, and other applications requiring an additional DisplayPort output.
