The media features a specialized Luster E textured surface (often referred to as an orange-peel finish) on a polyethylene-encapsulated base, delivering a 260 gsm basis weight and a 10 mil structural thickness that mimics the tactile hand-feel of traditional silver halide lab prints. This finish delivers high ink absorption and a wide color gamut without producing the intense specular reflections characteristic of full-glossy stock. Its ink-retaining chemistry provides immediate instant-dry performance right off the printhead platen, permitting immediate handling and rolling onto mechanical take-up reels.

The S450424 substrate is specifically fine-tuned for wide-format aqueous inkjet architectures, ensuring precise dot gain and accurate color profiling when loaded with Epson UltraChrome pigment or archival dye ink arrays.
