Overview

The Ubiquiti UACC‑RETROFIT‑POE‑2WIRE is a PoE over 2‑wire retrofit extender kit for extending PoE power and Ethernet data over existing two‑wire or coax cabling, aimed at retrofit installations where running new Ethernet is impractical. It consists of paired transmitter and receiver units that accept PoE++ input and deliver PoE/PoE+ output while bridging data with Homeplug AV technology. The system supports 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet and can deliver up to approximately 85 Mb/s data across extended cable runs with varying power available depending on distance and cable type. It is suited for powering devices like cameras, access points, intercoms, or doorbells over legacy wiring. Operating range, performance, and maximum power vary with cable gauge and length.
