The TRENDnet TI-IG290 is an industrial-grade, 2-port Power over Ethernet (PoE++) injector designed to add high-power capabilities to a non-PoE 2.5G switch. It is engineered for harsh industrial environments, providing a reliable solution for powering high-demand devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones over standard Ethernet cabling. This injector simplifies installations by combining power and data over a single cable, eliminating the need for separate power sources for remote devices. Built to withstand extreme conditions, the TI-IG290 features a rugged IP30-rated metal enclosure and operates within a wide temperature range of -40° to 75°C (-40° to 167°F). It delivers up to 95W of power per port, with a total power budget of 180W, ensuring sufficient power for two high-performance PoE++ devices simultaneously. This capability makes it ideal for industrial automation, smart city applications, and other demanding network deployments. With a fanless design for silent operation and flexible DIN-rail or wall mounting options, the TI-IG290 can be seamlessly integrated into various industrial settings. It includes two 2.5G data inputs and two 2.5G PoE++ outputs, extending network connections up to 100 meters (328 ft.). The unit also features redundant power inputs and protection against overload, surge, and ESD for enhanced reliability and uptime in critical systems.
