Overview :

The StarTech POEEXT1G60W is a hardened industrial Gigabit PoE extender designed to overcome the 100-meter distance limitation of standard Ethernet cabling. It is engineered for infrastructure teams deploying high-power devices like PTZ cameras, high-performance wireless access points, and IoT sensors in environments where localized power is unavailable. The unit is powered directly by the PSE source, requiring no external power adapter for standard deployments.

This extender supports up to 60W of auto-negotiated power output and is compatible with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt (Type 3) standards. For extreme distance requirements, up to four units can be cascaded to achieve a total range of 500 meters from the original power source. Its low 2.7W power consumption ensures maximum wattage remains available for the terminal device.

Built for mission-critical reliability, the device features a rugged IP-30 rated aluminum housing and is rated for operation in extreme temperatures from -40°C to +75°C. It includes integrated ESD, EFT, and surge protection. The hardware is suitable for DIN rail or wall mounting in data centers, industrial warehouses, or non-temperature-controlled enclosures at the network edge.
