TRENDnet TI-BEP200 Outdoor 2-Port Gigabit PoE Extender
Overview :
The TRENDnet TI-BEP200 is an industrial-grade, 2-port gigabit Power over Ethernet (PoE) extender designed for harsh environments. Its primary purpose is to solve the 100-meter distance limitation of standard Ethernet, allowing for the deployment of IP cameras, wireless access points, and other PoE devices in remote outdoor locations without needing a local power source. This device takes a single high-power PoE++ (802.3bt) input and extends both data and power for an additional 100 meters. Engineered for reliability, this extender is built with a rugged IP67-rated metal housing, making it fully protected against dust, rain, and other challenging weather conditions. It features a wide operating temperature range of -40° to 75° C, ensuring consistent performance in extreme heat or cold. The unit is entirely powered by the incoming PoE connection, which eliminates the complexity and cost of running separate electrical wiring, streamlining field installations. For maximum network flexibility, the TI-BEP200 features one gigabit PoE++ input port, one PoE+ (802.3at) output port, and one passive PoE output port, allowing it to power up to two devices simultaneously. The wall-mountable chassis provides secure installation options. A key capability is the ability to daisy-chain up to four extenders, pushing the total network reach to an impressive 500 meters from the source, making it an ideal solution for large perimeters, campuses, and industrial facilities.
