Overview

APC AP9564 is a basic power distribution unit (PDU) designed to distribute mains power within IT rack enclosures where expanded outlet capacity is required from a single branch feed. It is specified for data center, network, and facilities engineers who need efficient, horizontal outlet distribution in 19″ rack environments. This model addresses the need for consistent, uncluttered power access for multiple rack devices without remote power management or metering.

The unit accepts a NEMA L5‑20P locking input plug and distributes power across ten NEMA 5‑20R receptacles, supporting a nominal 120 V AC bus and rated up to 20 A total current. Load capacity is approximately 2.4 kVA, in line with typical North American 120 V rack power circuits. The integrated 3.66 m (12 ft) power cord allows flexibility to reach building branch outlets or UPS outputs feeding the rack infrastructure.
