Overview

The Eaton EVMI1530X is a G4-generation three-phase metered input rack power distribution unit designed for high-density enterprise data centers, multi-tenant colocation environments, and scalable IT server facilities. Built to give infrastructure engineers precise real-time insight into power consumption, this hardware monitors aggregate load metrics directly at the rack. It resolves the common operational hazards of circuit overloads, phase imbalances, and unexpected branch breaker trips caused by dense multi-node computing loads.

Running on a 208V three-phase Delta layout, the PDU supports a 30A input current rating (24A maximum continuous load per phase), providing a total power capacity of 8.6kW. The output plane features 42 total high-retention receptacles, organized into 24 standard C13 outlets and 18 high-flexibility C39 combo outlets that natively fit both C14 and C20 power cords. Operations are governed by an embedded, hot-swappable Gigabit Network Module (GNM) implementing a local multi-color menu pixel LCD along with remote software administration.

This PDU utilizes a 0U vertical orientation, mounting flush inside the rear management channel of standard 42U or higher server enclosures using pre-installed aluminum toolless mounting buttons. This low-profile chassis features a narrow two-inch width to eliminate spatial interference with cabinet rail assemblies and exhaust airflow. The firmware provides strict network security with chain-of-trust encryption and secure boot logic certified under dual UL 2900-1 and IEC 62443-4-2 cybersecurity criteria. Do not use this device in single-phase architectures or layouts exceeding its 8.6kW performance boundary.
