Overview

The Eaton EVMIL620A is a G4-generation single-phase metered input rack powefr distribution unit engineered for high-density IT hardware optimization. Enterprise data center managers, colocation tenants, and distributed edge network engineers deploy this hardware to gain precise branch-circuit level monitoring. By tracking real-time metrics, it solves the critical operational problems of balancing electrical phases, mapping capacities, and avoiding circuit-breaker trips due to hardware configuration changes.

Technically, the unit processes an input voltage profile between 100V and 240V, delivering a continuous capacity of 16A and an output of 3.8kW. It houses 24 total output receptacles partitioned into 12 standard C13 outlets and 12 high-retention C39 combo outlets that accommodate both C14 and C20 power plugs natively. Network interaction runs via an embedded, hot-swappable Gigabit Network Module (GNM) supporting full secure remote configuration via Web interface, SNMP, Command Line Interface (CLI), and REST API.

Deployment is specific to vertical zero-U configuration inside 42U or higher standardized server enclosures. It mounts via pre-installed factory shoulder buttons to minimize spatial footprint, leaving the front plane free for revenue-generating compute or storage blocks. This PDU is engineered for high-security environments utilizing its UL 2900-1 and IEC 62443-4-2 cybersecurity certified firmware stack.
