The Eaton PDUMV20HV is a metered vertical power distribution unit (PDU) designed to provide basic rack‑level AC distribution with local load monitoring for single‑phase 208/230 VAC IT power infrastructures. It is deployed by data center engineers, facilities technicians, and network infrastructure teams where high‑density outlet distribution and simple load visibility are required without remote network management. This model offers a local digital ammeter to display total current draw at the PDU output, aiding in capacity planning and load balancing at rack level.

This PDU supports single‑phase 208/230 V AC input rated at 16 A continuous (agency derated) with a 3.7 kW output capacity. The unit includes a detachable 10 ft (3 m) input cable with a NEMA L6‑20P plug, with an IEC C20 inlet to accept international cordsets. The vertical, 0 U form factor installs without occupying rack U space, maximizing usable cabinet space for IT equipment.

In a practical deployment, PDUMV20HV is used where basic metered visibility and a high outlet count are desired for power distribution to servers, network switches, storage, and other rack gear. It is not a network‑managed PDU and does not provide remote monitoring or control — remote management requires a monitored or switched model with LX platform support.

Avoid using PDUMV20HV where per‑outlet switching or remote IP control is required, or in environments needing SNMP/HTTP monitoring of power parameters. Additionally, ensure power draw does not exceed the unit’s 16 A continuous rating which could otherwise risk overload conditions.
