Overview

The Eaton PDUMH30HV19NET is a 2U switched rack power distribution unit (PDU) with integrated network management, designed for controlled power delivery in rack environments. It is deployed by data center engineers and network administrators where remote outlet-level control and monitoring are required to manage uptime, reboot devices, and balance loads across circuits. This unit addresses the need for centralized power control in high-density IT racks.

The PDU operates within a 208/230 V single-phase power ecosystem and supports up to 24 A continuous load (≈5.5–5.8 kW). It distributes power through 14 IEC outlets (8 × C13, 6 × C19) and is fed via a NEMA L6-30P input connection with a 15 ft (4.57 m) cord. Each outlet is individually controllable through the integrated switching system, enabling remote reboot and load shedding.

The unit mounts horizontally in 2U of a 19-inch EIA rack, making it suitable for rack rows in enterprise data centers, colocation cabinets, or edge network deployments. Its reversible housing and compact depth (~12.5 in) allow installation in standard rack depths without airflow obstruction.

Integration is enabled through the pre-installed WEBCARDLX (LX platform), supporting remote management via SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, and Telnet. The PDU provides per-outlet switching, load monitoring, and environmental sensor integration via USB ports. Front-panel LEDs and a digital meter provide local visibility of current draw across load banks.

A practical deployment scenario includes a data center rack where servers and network appliances require remote reboot capability and load monitoring without physical access. This PDU is not suitable for environments that only require basic power distribution without switching or networking, as its feature set adds unnecessary complexity and cost in simple deployments.
