Overview

APC APDU9966 is a switched rack power distribution unit (PDU) designed for three‑phase power distribution with remote outlet control and metering in dense rack environments. It is deployed by data center infrastructure teams and rack technicians where precise control and monitoring of power to critical equipment is required.

The PDU supports a 208 V three‑phase AC input through an IEC 60309 60 A 3P+PE inlet and is rated to deliver approximately 17.3 kW of total load capacity. It limits line current to 48 A for stable operation and is capable of serving mixed load profiles across multiple outlet types.

Physically, APDU9966 installs in a zero‑U vertical format alongside rack rails in 19″ cabinets, conserving usable rack units for IT equipment. Its 0 U profile suits high‑density server, networking, and storage racks where maximizing usable space is necessary.

Outlets include a mix of IEC 60320 C13/C15 and C19/C21 receptacles, offering broad compatibility with standard IT power cords. Remote switching capabilities enable power cycling of individual outlets via network interfaces without physical access.

Network management interfaces, including SNMP and Redfish, provide remote control and monitoring of outlet states and electrical parameters via a Gigabit Ethernet connection. The unit supports operational ambient temperatures from −5 °C to 60 °C and relative humidity up to 95 %.

This model is not intended for unmanaged power distribution scenarios where remote control and metered outlet visibility are not required, as its design emphasizes remote management and switched outlet operation.
