The Eaton N254‑048‑SH‑6A is a rack‑mountable feedthrough patch panel designed for structured cabling termination in Ethernet networks. It provides a dense set of shielded RJ‑45 interfaces for patching Cat6a cabling without on‑panel termination tooling. This configuration is typically deployed by network engineers and cabling teams in data centers, communication rooms, and campus backbone environments to centralize horizontal cabling and simplify moves/adds/changes.

This product supports up to 48 shielded modular RJ‑45 ports rated to meet or exceed Cat6a performance requirements. The panel supports 10 Gbps Ethernet over Cat6a cable and operates within the Cat6a channel specifications defined in industry standards. It requires no punchdown termination — cables are simply plugged through from front to rear.

Mechanically, the panel occupies 1U in a standard EIA‑310 19‑inch equipment rack and includes labeling for port mapping and a detachable cable management bar to maintain cable route discipline behind the panel. A grounding wire is supplied to ensure proper shielding continuity in shielded infrastructure deployments.
