Emergency Egress
The panic bar provides mechanical free egress and can be connected to a UniFi Access Hub as an exit-request device. When integrated with a compatible fail-safe lock, the installation can permit free exit while maintaining controlled authentication for entry.
Door Compatibility
The UACC-PANICBAR supports standard 3-foot doors with widths from 2 feet 4 inches to 3 feet. It is designed for metal or wood doors measuring 1-3/4 or 2 inches thick and supports a 3/4-inch door stop.
Electrical Interface
The panic bar uses a dry-contact connection with two lines. Its push-to-short and release-to-open behavior provides an exit-request signal to compatible access-control equipment. The dry contact is rated for up to 30V DC and 1A.
Mechanical Design
The enclosure combines aluminum and stainless steel construction. The bar is non-handed and reversible for different door handing and trim configurations. A minimum 4-1/4-inch stile is required.
