Overview
The Ubiquiti UF-OLT is an 8-port GPON optical line terminal designed for fiber access networks. It provides eight GPON OLT SFP ports, two 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink ports, and support for up to 1,024 registered ONUs or ONTs, with up to 128 clients per GPON port.
GPON and Uplink Connectivity
Each GPON interface supports a nominal downstream rate of 2.48832 Gbit/s and upstream rate of 1.24416 Gbit/s. The optical interface uses 1490 nm transmission and 1310 nm reception, with a specified physical reach of up to 20 km. Two SFP+ ports provide 1G/10G uplink connectivity for aggregation toward the network core.
Management and Switching
The UF-OLT operates as an OLT GPON core and Layer 2 Ethernet switch. Management interfaces include Ethernet out-of-band management, Ethernet in-band management, an RJ45 serial console port, and Bluetooth. The platform supports up to 4,062 VLANs and advanced QoS with eight priority queues per user port and traffic classification.

DC Supplies Product Note
The UF-OLT uses GPON OLT SFP modules in its eight PON ports rather than fixed optical connectors. Ubiquiti specifies UF-GP-B+ and UF-GP-C+ modules for the Fiber OLT's GPON SFP ports. GPON SFP modules and compatible ONUs/ONTs should therefore be selected separately according to the optical budget and network design.
