The HPE Aruba R3R67A is a G5-series Insight Sensor designed to deliver user‑centric performance visibility for wired, Wi‑Fi, andapplication networks. Supporting Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) dual-band (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz), Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0, this compact, wall-mountable device acts as a synthetic user to evaluate connectivity, throughput, latency, and service performance. Ideal for SMB, campus, and branch deployments, it continuously simulates real-user workflows—such as Wi-Fi roaming, web application response, or VoIP call quality—and captures dynamic packet traces for root-cause analysis. With lightweight power requirements and support for PoE, the sensor is simple to deploy and maintain, providing actionable insights to reduce downtime, boost satisfaction, and enforce SLAs.

R3R67A operates as part of the Aruba UXI (User Experience Insight) platform, running thousands of synthetic tests daily to assess network health from the edge. It actively measures wireless and wired service levels—including latency, jitter, throughput, and packet loss—while emulating end-user transactions like web logins, file downloads, and VoIP calls. Dynamic packet capture (PCAP) is triggered automatically on detection of anomalies, enhancing troubleshooting without visiting the site. Designed for continuous deployment, the R3R67A Insight Sensor houses a dual-core 1.3 GHz ARM processor running Linux, offering consistent testing and device self-monitoring. Consuming just ~12 W via PoE, its low power footprint simplifies deployment in edge closets or offices while minimizing network thermal impact and wiring complexity. The robust BLE onboarding enables zero-touch provisioning using Aruba mobile app. Continuous synthetic testing coupled with dynamic packet capture empowers IT teams to pinpoint network or application issues before users are affected.

The sensor offers secure connectivity to Aruba cloud-hosted dashboard for centralized AIOps analytics and incident detection. Equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 radios, a Gigabit Ethernet PoE port, and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 support, R3R67A enables fast provisioning with a mobile app via BLE.
