The HP AK344SB is a 1‑port 8 Gb/s Fibre Channel host bus adapter designed for enterprise servers. It allows storage‑engineers and data‑centre technicians to connect a server directly to a Fibre Channel SAN fabric via PCI Express. Supporting backward compatibility to 4 Gb and 2 Gb FC networks, the card enables migration while preserving existing infrastructure. It fits into rack‑mount server environments, blade servers or standard tower servers in data‑centre or campus storage zones.
