The US1GA30SFP is a professional-grade USB 3.0 to SFP fiber optic network adapter designed to provide secure, high-speed fiber connectivity to laptops and workstations without an integrated fiber NIC. It solves the challenge of connecting mobile workstations to secure fiber-to-the-desk (FTTD) infrastructures, which are common in government, military, and financial environments where copper Ethernet is restricted due to EMI or security vulnerabilities.

Technically, the adapter features an open SFP slot, allowing network engineers to deploy their choice of MSA-compliant Gigabit SFP transceivers. This enables support for both single-mode and multi-mode fiber runs over varying distances. Powered directly by the USB 3.0 bus, the device supports full gigabit throughput (1000Mbps) and utilizes the Realtek RTL8153-VB-CG chipset for reliable driver support across all major operating systems.

The adapter is engineered for portable and stationary use, featuring a compact housing that fits easily into a travel bag.
