Overview :

The StarTech PR25GR-NETWORK-CARD is a dual-port PCIe network interface card designed to add high-speed multi-gigabit Ethernet connectivity to servers and desktop systems. It is used by IT engineers and system integrators to upgrade network bandwidth without replacing existing cabling infrastructure.

It supports 5G, 2.5G, 1G, 100M, and 10M speeds with auto-negotiation, enabling compatibility with both modern and legacy networks over standard Cat5e cabling. Built on a Realtek chipset, it delivers reliable multi-gig performance for virtualization hosts, storage systems, and high-throughput workloads.

The card installs into PCIe x1/x2/x4/x8/x16 slots and includes both full-height and low-profile brackets, making it suitable for rack servers and compact systems. Ideal for enterprise, lab, and edge deployments. Not suitable where fiber connectivity or 10GbE+ performance is required.
