Overview

The HPE E7X96A is a 2‑port 10 Gb/s Ethernet host adapter developed specifically for the HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7000 storage family. It delivers high‑bandwidth connectivity for storage traffic such as iSCSI or FCoE in a compact adapter form‑factor, enabling storage arrays to leverage 10 Gigabit links rather than legacy 1 Gb or 4/8 Gb Fibre channel. The adapter installs in supported array controller slots and is suitable for mid‑range SAN deployments demanding higher throughput and lower latency. It supports SFP+ SR optics and is designed for multimode fibre environments; Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cables are not supported on this model.
