The ASUSTOR AS5404T, marketed as the NIMBUSTOR 4 Gen2, is a 4-bay NAS platform designed for content creators, small businesses, multimedia professionals, and advanced home users requiring centralized storage, backup, and private cloud services.

Powered by an Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core processor running at 2.0GHz with burst frequencies up to 2.9GHz, the system delivers efficient performance for file sharing, backup operations, media management, and collaborative workflows. The platform includes 4GB DDR4 memory and supports expansion up to 16GB.

The NAS features four hot-swappable SATA drive bays and four M.2 NVMe SSD slots for SSD caching or high-speed storage pools. Dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports provide increased network throughput and support SMB Multichannel for improved multi-user performance.

The AS5404T is suitable for business file storage, creative production environments, surveillance storage, and private cloud deployments. It is not intended for enterprise applications requiring rack-mounted infrastructure, redundant controllers, or large-scale clustered storage.
