Overview :

The ASUSTOR AS1202T, also known as the DRIVESTOR 2 Gen2, is an entry-level 2-bay network attached storage (NAS) system designed for centralized file storage, backup, personal cloud services, and multimedia sharing. It is targeted at home users, remote workers, and small office environments that require affordable shared storage with modern networking capabilities.

The platform is powered by a Realtek RTD1619B quad-core 1.7GHz processor with 1GB DDR4 memory. A built-in 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interface provides higher throughput than conventional Gigabit NAS devices, enabling faster file transfers and backup operations across compatible networks.

The AS1202T supports two SATA drive bays for RAID-protected storage and includes three USB 5Gbps ports for external storage devices and backup expansion. The system supports RAID 0, RAID 1, and JBOD configurations, making it suitable for basic data protection and storage consolidation.

This NAS is appropriate for file sharing, backup, and private cloud deployments. It is not intended for memory-intensive virtualization workloads, expandable memory requirements, or applications requiring HDMI multimedia output.
