Overview

The APC SRTRK4 is a heavy-duty rackmount rail kit engineered to support high-capacity Smart-UPS SRT uninterruptible power supplies and their associated battery packs. It provides the necessary structural foundation for deploying heavy 5kVA, 6kVA, 8kVA, and 10kVA SRT models into standard 19-inch EIA-310-D server racks. This kit solves the challenge of safely mounting top-heavy power equipment in multi-tenant or enterprise data centers.

Technical capability focuses on load-bearing stability and ease of maintenance. The rails are designed to handle the substantial weight of double-conversion online UPS units while maintaining a slim profile that does not interfere with adjacent equipment. The sliding mechanism allows for smooth installation and ensures the UPS is securely locked into the rack frame once seated.

Deployment is intended for four-post racks within data centers, server rooms, and network closets. While optimized for APC NetShelter enclosures, the universal design accommodates most square-hole and round-hole rack systems. This kit should NOT be used with two-post telco racks unless specifically supported by the UPS manufacturer’s weight distribution guidelines.
