The Eaton N235-001-SH-D is a Cat6 Straight-Through Modular Shielded In-Line Snap-In Coupler with RJ45 female-to-female connections. Eaton identifies the product within its Tripp Lite series. The coupler connects two Cat6 patch cords to create a longer cable run and can be installed in a standard keystone wallplate.
The unit features a 90-degree downward-angled RJ45 port for easier installation in tight or difficult-to-reach spaces. Its protective metal housing provides shielding against EMI/RFI interference, while the contacts use 50-microinch gold plating.
The coupler supports Cat5e and Cat6 cabling, uses straight-through wiring, and supports Type 4 PoE++ up to 100W according to Eaton's current catalog. It is intended for network closets, server rooms, data centers and structured Ethernet installations.
