Overview :

The Eaton Tripp Lite N785-001-SC-MM is a media converter that enables an Ethernet copper link to extend over multimode fiber, allowing engineers to bypass the 100 m copper limitation. It supports 10/100/1000Base-T on the RJ-45 side and converts to SC-terminated multimode fiber at 850 nm, with a reach of up to ~550 m using 50/125 µm fiber (or ~400 m using 62.5/125 µm fiber). This unit is suitable for campus wiring, edge cabinets or branch links requiring fiber extension, and integrates easily into copper-to-fiber transition scenarios without additional network management overhead.
