Overview :

The TRENDnet TFC-1000MSC is a compact media converter designed for environments where Gigabit copper (RJ-45) needs to be linked with multi-mode fiber (SC). It enables network engineers to extend Gigabit Ethernet connections up to 550 meters over 50/125 µm multi-mode fiber, making it useful for campus wiring, telecom closets, or small-data-center interconnects. It can operate as a standalone unit or be mounted into a 16-slot TRENDnet TFC-1600 chassis, giving flexibility in deployment. The converter supports SNMP when used in the chassis, allowing for remote monitoring of port status, link-up / link-down, and link-loss behavior (LLCF / LLR). Its wall-mountable metal housing and LED diagnostics for power, copper link, fiber link, and activity simplify installation and troubleshooting.
