Overview :

The TRENDnet TFC-1000MGA is a compact media converter that bridges copper Ethernet and fiber via SFP. It allows engineers to connect a 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 link to either multimode or single-mode SFP fiber modules, making it useful in mixed-media network environments. Auto-negotiation supports both 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps speeds on the RJ-45 side, and a dip-switch lets you control fiber link return (LLR) and negotiation modes. Built into a rugged metal housing, it can be mounted on a wall or used in TRENDnet’s 16-bay TFC-1600 chassis for modular deployment. Diagnostic LEDs report power, link/activity, and failure status, helping with on-site troubleshooting. It's suitable for campus edges, building interconnects, or data-center perimeters where fiber drops need to terminate into Ethernet equipment without built-in SFP.
