Overview

The HPE S0U55A is the primary management module for the Aruba CX 5420 modular chassis. It runs the AOS‑CX operating system and handles the control plane for line‑cards, enabling Layer‑3 routing, CLI/Web access, time-series database analytics, and VSX high‑availability when paired with a second module. This module is critical — without it or its standby pair, the CX 5420 chassis cannot operate. It’s well-suited for campus access, aggregation, or branch infrastructure, providing the brains for automated, secure, and scalable networking.
