The NETGEAR MSM4310-100NES (M4350-8M2V) is an enterprise-grade, half-width 1U Layer 3 managed switch engineered for high-density AV-over-IP, edge computing, and multi-gigabit access networks. Infrastructure teams deploy this unit to supply multi-gigabit connectivity and scalable Power over Ethernet to IP endpoints, access points, and broadcast appliances.

Featuring eight 2.5G BASE-T RJ45 ports with 802.3bt PoE++ output alongside two 25GBASE-X SFP28 optical uplinks, the system delivers 140 Gbps switching bandwidth. Out of the box, the system operates with a 119W PoE budget via an external APS254W power supply, expandable up to 551W via additional power modules.

Designed for standard 19-inch equipment racks, the half-width enclosure enables dual-unit side-by-side mounting within 1U of space. The switch runs NETGEAR AV OS with pre-configured multicast profiles (IGMP Plus, PTP v2, AES67) for rapid zero-touch deployment. Do not deploy where non-PoE unmanaged switches or simple L2 unmanaged environments are sufficient, or where raw high-density 10G copper ports are required without SFP28 adapters.
