Overview
The HPE JG938A is a Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet access switch from the FlexNetwork 5130 EI series, engineered for the access layer of medium to large enterprise campus networks. It addresses the need for a scalable, resilient, and manageable network edge by providing high-density PoE+ ports for devices like wireless access points, VoIP phones, and security cameras, combined with high-speed 10GbE uplinks. A core strength of this platform is its support for HPE's Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology. IRF allows an administrator to virtualize up to nine physical switches, managing them as a single logical device with one IP address.
