It provides 800 GB of native storage capacity and up to 1.6 TB compressed at a 2:1 ratio, supporting dense backups or long-term storage. The media fits into LTO-4 drives for read/write and is backward compatible for read operations in later generations, making it suitable for data center, tape library, or long-retention archive deployments. The cartridge incorporates internal cartridge memory, active head-cleaning film and self-diagnostic features to support reliable operation in automated tape libraries or robotic systems.
