Overview

The APC SMX3000RMLV2U is a line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed to provide conditioned power and short‑duration backup for critical IT systems on a single‑phase 120 V distribution infrastructure. It is deployed by network/system engineers and data centre technicians to maintain uptime for servers, storage, network appliances, and communication equipment during utility power fluctuations or outages.

Rated at 3000 VA / 2700 W (nominal), this UPS uses automatic voltage regulation (AVR) and a pure sine‑wave output to support sensitive electronics without generator transfer delays. The unit features low‑voltage sensitivity settings and rapid transfer times (~2–4 ms) to cope with utility anomalies.

Architecturally, it is a 2U rackmount with tower conversion, providing flexibility for installation in 19″ server racks or as a standalone tower. Typical 120 V input/output aligns with North American power distribution standards, and the included rack mounting kit simplifies integration into IDF/MDF cabinets, edge compute closets, or small data room racks.
