Overview :

The APC SMX2000LVNC is a line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed for IT infrastructure teams and network administrators to maintain uptime for servers, storage, networking, and communication hardware in racks and closet environments. It stabilizes incoming power, provides backup during outages, and supports controlled shutdowns of connected systems.

This UPS delivers 1920 VA / 1800 W of power using pure sine wave output and automatic voltage regulation (AVR), which corrects under‑ and over‑voltage conditions without immediately calling upon battery power. It is user‑configurable for 100 V–127 V input/output ranges to suit regional power characteristics and edge deployments.

Configured in a 4U rackmount convertible form factor, the SMX2000LVNC can be deployed as a shelf‑mounted tower or installed in standard 19″ cabinets, conserving vertical rack space in server rooms, IDFs, and branch closets. A multifunction LCD panel offers real‑time status and configuration feedback.

Management and monitoring are enabled via a pre‑installed Secure Network Management Card (NMC), USB, and RS‑232 interfaces, allowing integration with EcoStruxure IT, PowerChute Network Shutdown, or SNMP‑based centralized platforms for remote UPS status and graceful shutdown orchestration.

A typical deployment is protecting a 4U rack containing core WAN routers, VoIP servers, and network storage devices in a distributed office; the UPS bridges short utility outages and provides time for clean shutdowns during extended power loss.

This model is not suitable for three‑phase mains power replacement or environments requiring online double‑conversion topology for zero‑transfer operation. It also requires correct upstream circuit provisioning to handle 1800 W loads without overcurrent faults.
