The APC SMC1500C is a line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) providing managed backup power and baseline power conditioning for IT and network equipment. It is deployed by IT engineers and network architects to protect servers, storage, switches, routers, VoIP gateways, and other sensitive electronics against power disturbances, brownouts, and short outages. Its built‑in SmartConnect network capability enables remote status monitoring and alerts suitable for distributed IT environments.

Rated for 1.44 kVA (1500 VA) apparent power and 900 W real power, the unit delivers a pure sine wave output when on battery, with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) that compensates for undervoltages and overvoltages without immediately using battery capacity. The SMC1500C’s tower form factor fits in small server rooms, network closets, branch offices, retail IT cabinets, or mixed server‑network closets where horizontal rack space may be unavailable or minimal.
