Overview
The Eaton SMX1500XLRT2UN is a robust SmartPro series line-interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system designed to provide essential power protection for critical IT infrastructure. This 2U rack/tower convertible UPS delivers a pure sine wave output, making it ideal for safeguarding sensitive network equipment such as servers, VoIP systems, data storage, and PoE switches in enterprise campus environments or distributed IT closets. It actively defends against power disturbances including blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges, and line noise, which can otherwise lead to data loss or hardware damage. Equipped with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), the SMX1500XLRT2UN continuously corrects incoming utility power, stabilizing fluctuations between 158V and 278V back to a nominal 230V without relying on battery power. This proactive voltage conditioning not only extends battery life but also ensures connected devices receive clean, consistent power, preventing incremental hardware degradation and maintaining operational performance.
