Overview

The Eaton OMNISMART350HG is a line-interactive UPS designed to deliver regulated AC backup and isolation for sensitive equipment in environments that require medical-grade electrical safety. It is deployed by IT infrastructure engineers and facilities teams in healthcare, clinical racks, and sensitive laboratory or network closets where output isolation and low leakage current are mandated by safety standards.

This UPS provides 330 VA / 225 W capacity with built-in automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to stabilize incoming voltage fluctuations and preserve battery capacity for utility failures. It maintains nominal 120 V AC output within a broad input range, and a built-in isolation transformer with Faraday shield limits leakage current to under 100 μA to meet medical-grade deployment requirements.

The unit is configured in a tower form factor and includes four hospital-grade NEMA 5-15R outlets and a NEMA 5-15P hospital-grade input with a six-foot cord, ensuring secure connections in clinical and network equipment zones. A DB-9 serial port enables unattended shutdown and monitoring via Eaton's PowerAlert software, providing local status and event integration into IT management workflows.

Runtime performance is specified as ~46 min at half load and ~18 min at full load, allowing orderly system shutdowns or transitions to alternate power during prolonged outages. Typical battery recharge is under ~4.5 hours, with sealed lead-acid chemistry.

This UPS is not intended for frequent deep-cycle usage (such as continuous disconnection mobile cart applications), as such use can void battery warranty and accelerate wear.
