The Eaton SM1000RM2UTAA is a 1 kVA / 800 W line‑interactive UPS designed to protect rack‑mounted and tower IT equipment from power disturbances. It is specified for IT engineers and infrastructure teams deploying UPS protection for servers, networking gear, and storage devices where short‑duration battery support and voltage regulation are required. It is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for government and regulated environments.

This UPS delivers 1000 VA / 800 W capacity with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) that corrects under‑ and overvoltage events without drawing battery energy, maintaining a nominal 120 V output across a wide input range (83–147 V). A pure sine‑wave output ensures compatibility with sensitive electronics.

The chassis fits 2U of standard 19‑inch rack space and can be configured as tower or rack‑mount with included hardware, suitable for branch office racks, IDF cabinets, and edge compute closets where vertical space is constrained. USB and DB9 serial ports support local UPS status monitoring and unattended shutdown scripts; a network management card slot enables remote SNMP/Web management when outfitted with the appropriate card.

Front‑panel LCD or LED indicators provide real‑time information on UPS status, load level, input/output voltage, and estimated runtimes, aiding technicians during deployment and incident response. The internal battery is hot‑swappable, reducing service window disruption.
