The BenQ TK710STi is a 4K UHD laser DLP projector designed for gaming, home entertainment, and golf simulation. Its short-throw optical system supports large-screen projection from a relatively short distance, while laser illumination provides a lamp-free light source. The projector combines HDR support, low input lag in supported gaming modes, and integrated Android TV functionality through the supplied QS02 dongle.
The projector uses 4K UHD resolution of 3840 × 2160 and produces 3,200 ANSI lumens of brightness. Its laser light source and stated 95% Rec. 709 color coverage support detailed images with a broad range of colors. HDR10 and HLG compatibility allows supported content to use high-dynamic-range picture information.
The 0.69–0.83 throw ratio and 1.2× optical zoom provide flexibility when positioning the projector relative to the screen. The projector supports image sizes up to 300 inches under suitable conditions. Vertical and horizontal keystone adjustment and picture rotation help correct image geometry when the projector cannot be positioned directly in front of the screen.
BenQ specifies input lag as low as 4.2 ms at 1080p and 240 Hz, with supported gaming configurations. The projector also supports 4K at 60 Hz over its HDMI 2.0b inputs. For golf simulation, short-throw projection can help position the unit outside the hitting area, depending on screen dimensions, mounting location, and room layout.
Two HDMI 2.0b inputs with HDCP 2.2 support compatible video sources. Additional connections include a USB Type-A port, RS-232 control, and a 3.5 mm audio output. HDMI eARC supports compatible audio equipment, including Dolby Atmos pass-through where supported by the connected devices and signal format. The QS02 Android TV dongle provides smart streaming functionality.
The TK710STi can be deployed in gaming rooms, home theaters, golf simulator installations, and presentation environments where a short-throw 4K laser projector is appropriate. Golf simulator installations should account for the screen size, hitting area, projector position, ambient lighting, and the output requirements of the simulation computer.
Before installation, calculate the screen size and throw distance using the 0.69–0.83 throw ratio, and confirm the intended refresh rate and resolution are supported by the source device and HDMI connection. The listed dimensions are for the projector itself, not its packaging or mounting hardware.
