The TRENDnet TK-EX3 is a dedicated KVM Extension Kit designed to give administrators direct keyboard, video, and mouse control over a computer or server from up to 150 meters away. It is an ideal solution for environments where systems are secured in a dedicated server room or data closet, but frequent access is required from a more convenient location like an office or control desk. By transmitting signals over a single, standard Cat5e/6 Ethernet cable, this kit eliminates the need for bulky, signal-degrading long-distance VGA and USB cables, solving the critical challenge of remote physical access. This kit consists of a local transmitter unit and a remote receiver unit, creating a point-to-point hardware link that requires no software or driver installation. A key technical feature is the inclusion of manual adjustment dials on the remote unit for both Gain and Equalization.
