Detailed Specifications
Eaton B042-008 - 8-Port Rackmount KVM Switch
Overview :
The Eaton B042-008 is an 8-port, 1U rack-mount KVM switch designed for data centers, server rooms, or network closets where multiple servers or PCs need consolidated control through a single console. It allows one user to manage up to eight computers with a single VGA monitor plus a USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse, reducing rack complexity and keyboard-monitor clutter. The unit supports daisy-chaining: by connecting additional B042-series switches, it can control up to 248 systems, making it practical for small-to-medium server farms or lab/edge deployments. Built in a standard 19-inch rack form factor with a heavy-duty steel housing, it fits easily into typical rack infrastructures and integrates with standard VGA and USB/PS2 peripherals. Its support for all major operating systems and on-screen menu selection ensures compatibility across mixed environments and simplifies console management at the rack or edge.
