Overview

The Eaton B070-008-19 is a 1-rack-unit (1U) integrated console KVM (Keyboard-Video-Mouse) switch with an onboard 19″ LCD, keyboard, and touchpad for direct control of multiple servers or compute nodes. IT infrastructure engineers and data center technicians deploy this solution to consolidate local access to multiple systems at a single rack position, eliminating the need for separate monitor, keyboard, and mouse peripherals at each host.

It incorporates an 8-port KVM switch, enabling control of up to eight servers from one console. The built-in display supports standard VGA inputs, and USB/PS/2 interfaces service keyboard and pointing devices. Cabling between the KVM unit and host systems uses inexpensive Cat5e/6/6a with server interface modules, simplifying long-run connections up to ~100 ft (30 m) while keeping structured cabling consistent with common network media practices.
